Sales of wines in three-liter boxes have been on the rise this year as consumers stocked up for staying home during the pandemic. The package is convenient, too: You can just pour yourself a glass or two, and the remaining wine will stay fresh for a couple of weeks.

This cabernet sauvignon from Argentina is made from grapes grown organically at 4,000 feet, at the foot of the Andes in the Tupungato region of Mendoza. The wine is savory, with dark fruit and notes of black olives and wild herbs. It’s easy to drink, with a smooth finish. And it costs just $20, which works out to the equivalent of $5 per 750-milliliter bottle. I couldn’t find a vintage on the box, but the current wine is from 2019.

Domaine Bousquet’s focus is wine made from organically grown grapes. Its Natural Origins line also includes a malbec, the grape for which Argentina is best known. But I’d give the edge to this very good cab.
