We’ve had a lot of rain here in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and the weather has me longing for summer and dinners on the deck. But I can get a taste of summer right now from Ponzi’s 2015 pinot rosé ($22). This vibrant wine is made from pinot grapes sourced from a couple of high-elevation Willamette Valley vineyards, blended with fruit from the Ponzi estate. It displays pretty strawberry, cherry and cranberry fruit, some nice tension and a persistent finish.
